RESULTS OF CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT
During the early 1970's, there was a decline in protestors for Civil Rights. At that time, racial discrimination continued to remain an important aspect in different areas of American life. The Civil Rights Movement impacted United States in the long term. It gave the African Americans more opportunities in educations and politics. The first African American was elected president in 2008. It also changed the country culturally.
Today, discrimination is still persists but it is no longer widely acceptable.
